Interacting with IAAF Level 5 Sprints and Hurdles coaches will certainly be a great learning experience for athletes at any level.
Athletes will work on block starts, acceleration, maximum velocity phase, drills, hurdle technique, relay exchanges, and strength and power development for sprinting.
…will have each part of their specific event broken down for them, whether they participate in long, triple or high jump. Their jumping competence and skills will improve simultaneously throughout the camp as they gain a better understanding and skill level in their event. We will also have introductory sessions for Pole Vault.
…can expect in depth training including video analysis and technical advisement in all throwing events (shot, discuss or javelin), and weight room routine designed to enhance throwing technique and overall distance. All levels of experience are welcome.
…will be guided in events 800m and up. Athletes will receive guidance in race strategy, pace, strength training and nutrition.
Each day there will be presentations on relevant topics including the Importance of Core Strength and Confidence When Competing. The campers will also tour the Technique Lab facility, the only Sports Performance and Fitness Center in the English-Speaking Caribbean.
